Below are a few of our most commly asked questions.

 

1. Is there any type of shift/hourly commitment?
No, there is no minimum commitment of shifts or hours you must work.  You can work as few or as many hours as you want or your schedule permits.  In addition, there is also no weekend or holiday commitment.

 

2. Do you offer any employee benefits?
Nurse Worx offers Health, Rx Plan, Dental and AFLAC Supplemental Insurance.  (Contact our office for details)

 

3. Does Nurse Worx have a 401K Plan?

4. Will I have to work at a different hospital/facility every time I work a shift?
Absolutely not, it is solely up to you dependent on your hospital preferences. Although, Nurse Worx suggests you orient at more than one Facility due to fluctuations in census.  Being flexible with your facility preferences will present more opportunities.

 

5. Will I get an orientation prior to my first assignment?
Every facility has different policies regarding agency staff orientation.  Your staffing specialist will inform you of all the specifics in advance of your first shift at a particular facility.  We work closely with our new staff and clients to tailor an acceptable orientation process for an easy transition.

 

6. What if I get hurt on the job or wind up in the middle of a legal issue?
You are a Nurse Worx employee with full Worker’s Compensation benefits in the event of a work related injury.  You are also covered under Nurse Worx’s Professional Liability Insurance if any type of legal issue arises which you may be involved while functioning as a Nurse Worx employee.

 

7.What about certain certifications such as BLS and ACLS, if I am not a Staff Nurse at a
hospital how do I get certified?
Nurse Worx offers the American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode ACLS Anywhere and HeartCode BLS eLearning programs.  The only eLearning course that offers an official AHA certification and CME/CE/CEH credits. 8. I am a staff nurse but have always wanted to try agency nursing.  How do I make the transition out of my comfort zone?
It is completely understandable to be nervous and unsure when you are new to agency nursing.  Your staffing specialist works very closely with you and will make every effort to ensure all your questions and concerns are addressed.  You will be notified of all the pertinent information you will need prior to your first shift or assignment at any facility.  Remember, your staffing specialist or on-call supervisor are only a phone call away if needed.
